Description
[edit] : had to change the image for one i was authorized to use sorry for that
Well it all started when i wanted to color a cover, and didn't find the line art in the web, so i went to my Comic collection and scaned the cover, so how do you get from left to right? (photoshop)
1. well scan the image you want or find the colored version in the web.
2. go to image>Adjusmets>Graident map, and click on the graident to edit it
3. set the graident to black and white, the line art should be in black and the rest of the color will go to gray scale
4. add another nod of color in the white side of the graident and pull it to the black side, this makes the grey desapear leaving 80% of the image in white, the line art in black and some grey spots from the darker colors. click ok
5. go to levels and/or Brightness/contrast and start moving the nodes until you have the only the line art reducing the gray to the minimum
Note: keep checking the line art close so you can see if it doesn't get ruined,
6. start flating and enjoying the coloring
This is the same technic i use to clean the line art when is to dirty
some times the colors have glows that go over the line art, this will erase some areas of it you'll have to redraw those areas with the pen tool
contras: this may not work to well when the colors of the image are way to dark to the piont when they get confused with the line art.
this will be erased in about a week or so, enjoy
